After hearing that the application I or funds for the refurbishment of the changing room roof had been declined, Karen and Sally came up with the idea to approach local businesses to see if they could sponsor the project by giving materials, not money, and to formulate a works party using members of the club. Andrew agreed to organise and oversee the project.
We then put a project proposal together. The project we divided into two sections, Phase One; Replacing the changing room roof; and Phase Two Refurbishment of the changing room area.
We were introduced to the trust at the A. G. M. meeting via Brian Jones (BJ) The proposal was gratefully accepted and has the full backing of the trust.
The response from local businesses has been excellent, and we are currently in the process of organising the materials, and works party for Phase Two.
We would appreciate any help from club members who have building experience, and or can supply materials. If you are able to assist please make yourself known to Karen or Sally, or Andrew or Russell (coaches for the under 12)
Phase one will commence on Fri. 22nd June. The materials and work party are in place. Only the persons directly involved will be allowed into the club to follow health and safety, and for insurance purposes.
We have been asked by the trust to take on the task of fund raising for the Juniors, Karen as Fund Raiser, with Sally assisting. With the Juniors having 4 teams, we invite parents from all age groups to come forward with any ideas, who are willing to help.
Thank you for your cooperation, and are looking forward to hearing from you. Get thinking!!!!
